This traditional 1930 house has a well proportioned front garden, however is separated from the road by a large grass verge. The client wanted to gain vehicular access to the front garden to allow parking for 2 cars whilst still retaining some sense of garden.
The Approach
Due to the proportions of the property we decided to create a geometric design which utilised the existing flower beds, however decided to raise them to create further depth to the landscape. Through doing this and combining a wide range of materials we clearly identified the boundaries of both the parking area and property boundaries without needing for fencing thus creating a more holistic landscape.
